You can Help a Child
Destined for Success Community Enrichment Services, Inc. rely on individual donations, community sponsorships, charitable donations, foundations, religious groups and individual donors for a large portion of its financial support. In addition to donations to the operating fund, there are opportunities for sponsorship of individual participants’ families and a wide variety of special projects. All financial contributions are welcome and are tax deductible.
You may sponsor some of Destined for Success’ needs by:
• Sponsoring a residential unit for one year $12,000
• Fund field trips and college tours $5,000
• Provide the maintenance cost of a residential unit for one year $1,150
• Provide a set of clothes and shoes for one or more young adult $300
For a complete copy of the current wish list, please contact the community volunteer coordinator. All contributions, no matter how small, are welcome.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Individuals provide important services to program participants such as organizing outside field trips for the participants/residents, providing school supplies for youth, cooking special occasion meals or tutoring. Volunteer opportunities, including Advisory Members, Legal services and Mentors, are always available and they form a vital part of the Destined for Success family. For more information please contact Dontae' Rawlins, Volunteer Coordinator, at (240) 681-9624.
WISHES FROM YOUNG ADULTS
When a foster youth or young adult begins the transition into independent living in their communities, there are many incidental needs that they may be confronted with. A gift certificate makes it possible for a young person to deal with the day to day financial challenges. You can help our young people with an "Independent Living Kit" that starts them in a one-bedroom apartment with bright, new belongings for their first home.
